Don’t Panic- Explore New York City During an Airport Layover

While most people say that they hate getting stuck with a long airport layover at LaGuardia Airport or John F. Kennedy Airport, it may be the favorite part of your trip if you hire a limousine. There are so many activities in New York City to do that you may want to make your layover as long as possible.

Go Shopping
Shopping is great fun when you hire a New York limousine to whisk you from one destination to the next. The Financial District is packed with discounts just waiting for you to find them. Alternatively, find the latest styles in the shops on Fifth Avenue. For a truly unique Big Apple shopping experience, head to Chinatown. Art lovers adore the bargains that they find on Manhattan’s Lower East side.

Root for the Home Team at a Sporting Event
Depending on the season, you may find a wonderful sporting event in town. In the spring and summer, Yankee Stadium is the place to be to see the New York Yankees strikeout their opponents in order. In the fall, see the New York Jets or the New York Giants run the pigskin at MetLife Stadium.

Experience Live Entertainment
There are many great venues where you can see the very best entertainers in the Big Apple during an airport layover. Check the itinerary at Radio City Music Hall. The Film Forum is the place to go to see independent films. Catch a Broadway Show. There are so many great opportunities that you will have a hard time deciding which to do.

Eat in a Restaurant
Skip the food in the airport restaurants and lounges by opting for a great meal at New York City’s best venues. Have a great steak at The Palm like guests have been enjoying since 1926. Have the eggs Benedict at Delmonico’s which was the first restaurant in the world to serve items a la carte. Indulge in the best oysters at Grand Central Oyster Bar.

See Hidden Treasures
Even if you think that you have explored all that the city has to offer, there are many hidden treasures that you may not have seen just yet. Consider visiting the City Hall Station with its amazing chandelier. Get immersed in a unique world of light and sound at the Lamonte Young and Mariane Zazeela’s Dream House. Visit the Explorer Club’s Headquarters choke full of tools used by explorers around the world. See Track 61 that is allegedly designed to transport presidents during a disaster. The city is so full of hidden treasure that you will never get bored.

Turn your frown upside down when you are faced with a New York City Airport layover as there are many things to do in the city. Make a reservation for a limousine to make sure you cram in as much as possible.
